I’m Tessa, an Intuitive Abstract Landscape Artist based in the Adelaide Hills. Currently I specialise in vibrant paintings, inspired by my natural surroundings. I am a big lover of colour and exploring unexpected pallets that contrast and bring new life to a composition.
I have been painting and drawing for as long as I can remember, and this year have taken the plunge to pursue my own creative business, after many years in the Corporate Events world.
After completing a Bachelor of Design I decided to further my studies and moved to Melbourne to complete a Diploma in Visual Merchandising & Styling at RMIT. I landed a job as a Designer & Project Manager for a 3D branding agency.
In 2018 I moved back to Adelaide to be closer to family and worked in Property Styling and made the transition back into the exhibitions & events industry, whilst painting as a hobby.
In 2020 I had a health scare which put a lot of things in perspective for me. Art has always been my love and at the start of 2022 I decided to go full time and give it the energy it deserves.
I paint acrylic on canvas predominantly, but am very versatile. I have just started doing murals and urban art and absolutely love it! I focus on abstract landscapes that are inspired by my surroundings and imagined dream-like landscapes.
Recently my work has been featured as part of Reignite Adelaide with 4 works being chosen to revitalise a building in Twin Street, Adelaide just off Rundle Mall. I just completed my first mural in my own workshop space Fern Studio. I participated in the Blackwood Action Group project for Mitcham Council and painted a couple of Stobie Poles, so great to see my work in a public space. I would love to get involved in more public art initiatives.
